Monday, March 7, 2005 9:30 am to 4 pm at the Kelly Inn in Saint Paul Please note that this year pre-registration is required. PROGRAM (Morning) Mary Cecconi (State Director of Parents United Network) Find out what is happening at the State Capitol with up-to-the-minute information from our lobbying expert. Parent Panel Dialogue Hear from parent leaders as they provide advocacy and organizing strategies, and explain how they got started. Marcia Avner (Public Policy Director of Minnesota Council of Nonprofits) Gain a wealth of knowledge and enthusiasm from this training in advocacy skills. Lunch (provided) – Opportunity to interact with other parents VISIT YOUR LEGISLATORS (Afternoon) This is an opportunity to meet with your elected officials, which is a very empowering experience, and critically important in this budget year.
